PROCUREMENT METHODS

4.1 Competitive Bidding
For major purchases and high-value contracts, EDR will conduct a competitive bidding process to obtain quotes or tenders from a range of suppliers. This process ensures that the organization receives the best value for money and promotes fairness and transparency.
4.2 Direct Procurement
In some cases, where competitive bidding is not appropriate or practical, EDR may opt for direct procurement. This may apply to cases where only a single supplier can provide the required goods or services, or where urgent procurement is needed. Direct procurement will still be subject to rigorous checks and approval.
4.3 Framework Agreements
For recurring purchases of similar goods or services, EDR may establish framework agreements with selected suppliers. These agreements will outline the terms and conditions under which purchases can be made, ensuring that procurement is streamlined and cost-effective.
4.4 Sole Source Procurement
In cases where only one supplier is capable of providing the required goods or services, sole-source procurement may be employed. This method will require a clear justification for the selection of the supplier and approval from the Executive Management Team or Board of Directors.
